SOUTH
TEXAS CUISINE
"South
Texas Cuisine", which aired from 1996 to 2004, was a monthly cooking show
sponsored by the Junior League of McAllen, Inc. Chefs walked the
audience through the preparation of several recipes found in the Junior
League of McAllen published cookbooks: La Piņata
& Some Like It Hot. An interview
section of
the show also highlighted some of the many volunteer
projects and cultural events being conducted by the Junior League of
McAllen. "South Texas Cuisine" aired on the McAllen
Cable Network. The Junior League of McAllen can now be seen
periodically on McAllen Cable Network's
"The Volunteer Show" which
interviews people who are volunteering
their time to make McAllen a better place in which to live.
